I'll be revisiting this section, but in the meantime I can jot a few things down.
I'm extremely loyal...nothing short of ancient torture techniques will get me to spill a secret. I'm not so sure why I care so deeply about protecting other people's secrets, but that's just how I roll.
Living in NYC is such an exciting and crazy venture. I love that the anonymity of this city allows man to feel free to dissapear into the fray or to open up to the stranger next to him on the bus. I've witnessed strangers in this city do the most beautiful things for eachother, and I think that's what keeps me here.
Ultimately, I believe in the good of people.
I have my own quirky sense of humor that only good friends and family seem to understand, but then again, I'm never afraid to laugh at my own jokes, either.

I am very intelligent, down to earth, happy, and ready to take that next step in lifeâ??marriage and kid(s) and everything that goes along with it. I enjoy movies, walks in the park, select TV shows, very open to trying new things, love to learn, even-keeled, and looking for many of these traits in a best friend, although we should not be clones. I have a great family, parents married forever (super role models). I'm a kid at heart, too. I'm also an avid reader (my tastes run the gamut from Tom Robbins, John Irving, Harry Potter, and Neil Stephenson to autobiographies about Adams, Truman and Rockefeller, and many other types of books). Hi all. I grew up in the South, moved here for school in 2005, and decided to stay since NYC totally suits me.

I love going out with my friends, exploring the city and getting into all the wonderful things you can get into here. When I'm not out, I'm pretty laid back, love to just grill a steak in the ol' backyard or go see a movie.

I also love to travel. Went to London last summer, Ireland the summer before that. Spent a summer in france working on a film, went to 49 states by the time I was 19 (lots of road trips) and heading out on 2/20 for Hawaii( (#50). Spent a lot of time in Western Europe. Would like to see Greece and Japan next.

Recently graduated from NYU. I love exploring the city, eating out with friends, trying new restaurants and returning to old favorites, skiing, shopping, going to shows, watching TV and movies, running, being active, traveling, the beach and beach houses, amusement parks, coffee shops, Happy Hour, Red Wine, taking pictures, looking at old pictures, spending time with the people I love, laughing, watching the sun rise- Wow that sounds corny- what I mean is I enjoy being up and about early in the morning and its a bonus to see the sun come up, cooking, and listening to all types of music! I want to emphasize spending time with friends. It really doesn't matter what we are doing but I am never happier than when I am with my friends. Whether we're out to dinner, having drinks at a bar, taking a walk, watching TV or a movie, playing cards, going on an adventure, or just hanging out and enjoying each other's company- whatever we are doing, I'm enjoying the time. Of course I enjoy my solo time as well but given the choice I would always choose to be in good company.

I am passionate about traveling. I want to see as much of the world as possible. I want to travel with someone.

Abandoned at some point in the first six months of my life, I was raised by wolves who, despite their lack of opposable thumbs, managed to impart to me an astounding grasp of cello technique. I'm quiet in most social situations, but if we really click I will open up to you. That said, I'm looking for someone to open up to. I spend my free time wandering around forgotten corners of NYC, playing guitar (but I only started about a month ago so I'm not very good yet), reading, writing, and thinking.

Born in Portland, OR, raised in Mississippi, went to high school in Hartford, college in the Bronx and now living in Manhattan. Quite a bit of culture shock. Learning a new job but during the weekends I like to stay outside and as far away from computers/technology as possible. Pretty much just enjoying life, my friends and family.

Instead of the usual, here are three perfect moments from my life:

Skinny dipping with six girlfriends on a warm early fall day in a southern Italian village. The male population of the town followed us from the hotel in their cars to the beach, heckling... ciao bella, etc! We positioned ourselves in a dark spot on the beach where the cars had no view, stripped, and played delightfully in the 85-degree water. On the way back to the hotel, the boys followed us in our drenched clothing quite silently, in awe and wonder.

Scuba diving in the Great Blue Hole (discovered by Jacques Cousteau) on a day where there happened to be eight size-able sharks circling around looking for snacks... and one of our dive companions just so happened to be testing a very successful anti-shark device.

Climbing to the top of a temple of the jaguar in Tikal, Guatemala, and being greeted there by floating blue morpho butterfly who hovered in front of me like some ancient Mayan ghost of the long passed.

... I guess you could say I like adventure!

I am an easy going, fun loving person, with a good sense of humor. Blah Blah Blah. Havenâ??t you heard all this before? I have been a dancer since I was 4, when my mother started me in ballet school because she thought I was a klutz. Since then (still a klutz), I have been involved in all types of dance: musical theater, Swing, Salsa and the occasional Bar-Top type. My friends and family are central in my life. I love traveling - a quick weekend to the Yucatan, a month wandering around Australia, two weeks camping and sea kayaking in Baja... I was born at an early age to a mother whom I had never met prior to my birth. over the years I became a force to be reckoned with in music, theater, and other fun activities. I hate these things, I don't really know where to start. I am funny, smart- well versed in general areas of knowledge (theory not references). I read (alot), like to listen to music, eat, sleep (with or without), watch movies, Live ? where to start? I like drinking scotch (Irish is fine too), science fiction, cats, sarcasm, beer(s) (i have a weakness for fizzy blonds; stella, urquel, harp, blue moon ), video games, museums, all night discussions, all night cafes, 3 am tacos, random questions, inane quotes, architecture, manga (I'm not really into American cartoons), science in general. A great many things hold my interest, I like to find new puzzles to solve. Perhaps right now is the time to say that Johnny Cash is my favorite artist and that I think that Pollack is a fraud but a very successful one.

I dislike modern art, err... the impressionists and some others, gin, car alarms, stupid people, people who are proud of gym memberships, early jobs, uncomfortable chairs, writing dissertation, my own bad spelling, yours as well, broken glass, brandy, more..

I'm South African, but I grew up in New Mexico. I moved to New York about two years ago after college... I love cooking and eating, snowboarding, and more recently have become a runner. I am originally from Colorado but enjoy fast-paced life in the big city! I love new experiences and new people. Just last week a friend and I rode the R train end to end for fun and discovered the charming Forrest Hills. I am creative and open-minded but also structured and driven. There is an old print ad for Bacardi Rum that shows an attractively dressed woman with her belly button pierced. The cut line: 'Banker by day. Bacardi by night.' A philosophy - though pop in nature - I consider to be a good one. I've worked very hard to get to where I am today though I am not a banker (I'm a television reporter) and obviously not a pierced woman, my free time is spent pursuing adventure... Strike that,,, Lots of adventure and a bit of enjoyable risk. I love experiencing new and different things, living life to the fullest maybe a bit on the edge (I been skydiving, studied Kendo, and even taken a few flying lessons. I'm a sucker for a quick night out at the pub with a great craft beer. In fact I brew my own and recently won my first beer competition, ask me for a taste. But don't get me wrong, quiet evenings at home are just as important to me. There's nothing quite like flopping down and watching a good movie or reading an engaging book. (My TiVo tends to pick up a lot of BBC America and Gordon Ramsay shows now a days. That, aside from re-runs of Top Gear - yeah I Love that show) However, when I am not doing those things, I try and take good care of myself. I enjoy yacht racing, swimming, running 5 and 10K's (also- if you know what On-On! means you get extra bonus points) just to name a few things. You also, every once in awhile, may even see me in a kilt! I'm a native New Yorker, but after college I've spent several years traveling the country pursuing my career as a journalist from small towns to big cities.

Hello there! First let me thank you for taking your time and actually stopping to read this. My name is Andres and im 20 years old. Born and raised in NYC and im a hopeless romantic!!!! I wanna find a girl that is too. Im in the Army but soon getting out. Im planning to attend college and major in architecture. I love NY! and i thats one reason im getting out. I miss it. Another reason is my family. They are always worried about me. I wanna experience other stuff in life. Im only 20 and all i know is HS and the Army. Not really good. I like history kinda good to see that im kinda being part of here by being here. I love to draw cityscapes and love photography. Well if theres anything you else you wanna know you know what to do.

People are always asking me for directions in this city, it must mean I'm fairly approachable, or just happen to run into many lost people. Good thing I usually have an answer for them, or can easily reference my map on my iPhone.

When I was in high school I was voted Best Sense of Humor, which I have to say is one of my proudest awards to date, aside from lettering in Track & Field at the University of Michigan. When it comes to wit/sarcasm, I can roll with the best of them. And when it comes to sports, I can cheer/talk smack with the best of them. And when it comes to grammar, sometimes I use slashes for emphasis/fun.

So far, life has been pretty good to me. I finally moved to NYC which is hands down the best decision I ever made. I'm not very well-traveled internationally, which I hope to change in the very near future. I have the passport, just need the time and perchance, a travel buddy.

In the meantime, I spend my days enjoying this wonderful city, writing, playing as much volleyball as I can stand, going-with-the-flow, making sure my dog is well cared for, swiping good deals from Groupon, scoping comedy clubs, playing ping pong at Fat Cat, being a great friend, and avoiding anything with olives in it.

I like me, and I like having a good time with people I care about. I also love exploring new places and am always up for an adventure. I like sports, fall, snuggling, polar bears, rainy days, warm nights, the stars, fresh air, puppies, movies and such and such.

I honestly don't know how I feel about this whole OkCupid thing since I'm not one to use the internet as a means of meeting people, but I figured I'd give it a try. I'm slowly finding out it's even difficult to meet people in such a big city as NYC. I'm from northern New Jersey (don't hate!), but currently attending college in Manhattan.
