I have been getting my hair done at Spa for several years. Love Adela and all the salon services. A few yrs ago, I decided to give the spa upstairs a try. I am so glad I did. Cole is the most amazing mani/pedicurist ever. Yes, the prices are a little higher (25 for a spa pedicure) than you would normally get at a regular nail salon. But it's so worth it. I used to deal with considerable pain when I received pedicures at regular nail salons, esp around my cuticle areas. But Cole is so sensitive and understanding to my needs and she is extra gentle. She's also so warm and friendly. And SO efficient. I used to cringe and wince when I would get pedicures in the past. With Cole, I fall asleep how relaxed I am, knowing I can trust her with my feet. And with me, that is saying a LOT. She is also fabulous with her waxes. I agree with another poster here- practically pain-free. Definitely give the spa experience a try and definitely ask for Cole.

I love this salon! I've been going here ever since '04 and I moved out of Astoria years ago. I currently live in Park Slope, Brooklyn and still commute over an hour on the N train to get my hair done at this salon. My hairdresser Stella is the best! Whether it's a haircut, color, or treatment my hair always comes out looking great thanks to her expertise. She is very attentive to her clients' needs and knows how to make your hair look like a rock star! I recently was her first client to try out the Brazilian Blowout and I love it!!! My hair is so easy to manage in the morning and even dries straight when I air dry it. Not to mention my hair feels so healthy from the treatment. With the Blowout you can wash or get your hair colored the next day versus the regular Keratin treatment where you have to wait 3 days. The Keratin products are great! The Brazilian Blowout is by far the best thing that has developed for hair! It costs around $200+. Go to Space Salon and ask for Stella. You won't be disappointed!

So I used to be a loyal gigi customer since 08 but after my last experience with gigi getting my skin burned from hair dye and having a bad highlight job to top it off, I wanted to find a new place where i didnt have to spend over 300 for somethin that would only last me a month. One of my patients told me about this salon and i decided to check them out. Called around 1 and got a appt for 3. That was a major plus in my book. Got there was greeted and offered somethin to drink. Got to manny my stylist and he talked to me asked me what i wanted told him but what he did was WAY better then what i was used to at gigi. I was very comfortable he talked to me made me feel secure with what he was doing. He spent a good amount of time on my blow dry which i really appreciate! my hair is wavy and it takes a while to straighten cause it will curl up on you. After everythin my hair looked so nice i love the highlights the cut and style! I will definately be reccommendin this place and be a regular from now on :)
